It’s officially time to celebrate autumn in OKC! Take advantage of the many events going on in the city this weekend.
Friday, Oct. 31
–H&8th Night Market Halloween Trunk or Treat: 7-11 p.m. on Hudson Ave. between N.W. 6th and N.W. 10th Sts. Visit the final night market of the season as the Midtown event gets Halloween-ified. There will be food trucks and live music, along with Halloween events like costume contests and crafts. Make sure to visit the TheatreOCU area, where students and faculty from the School of Theatre will be doing makeup for the event! Free to attend. Visit the website for more information.
–“Hocus Pocus” at Haunt the River: 7:30 p.m. at Riversport Adventures. Enjoy an outdoor screening of the Halloween classic on the beautiful Oklahoma River. This event is the culmination of the Boathouse District’s “Haunt the River” event. Free to attend. For more information visit the Boathouse District website.
–The Sanctuary Haunted House: 8-12 p.m. at 530 S. Broadway Ave. Experience four stories of a terrifying haunted house in a renovated warehouse in downtown OKC. Be warned: this haunted house is NOT for the faint of heart. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at The Sanctuary’s website.
–Rocky Horror Picture Show: 10 p.m. at the Sooner Theatre in Norman, OK. Get your annual dose of the Halloween cult classic at the Sooner Theatre! Dress up in costumes and get ready to do the Time Warp again. Outside props are not allowed; prop bags are $5. Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased at the Sooner Theatre Website.
Saturday, Nov. 1
–Ruth Haddon Fine Arts Festival: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, and 11:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. on Sunday, at 1401 NW 25th St. A celebration of the arts and crafts in Oklahoma City featuring painting, writing, textiles, sewing, quilting, and more.Start your holiday shopping early and support local Oklahoma craftspeople. Free to attend.
–Concordia Classic Car Krooz-In: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at 7701 W Britton Rd. Visit the second annual Krooz-In to see classic hot rod cars, watch awards competitions, and more. Free to attend.
–Oklahoma City Barons vs. Iowa Wild: 7 p.m. at Cox Convention Center. Come watch as the OKC Barons hockey team takes on their rival from Iowa on their home ice. Tickets start at $10, and can be purchased online at the Barons website.
–OKC Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets: 7 p.m. at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Watch the Thunder take on the Denver Nuggets at the Chesapeake Arena to see what Loud City really means. Tickets start at $15 and are available online
