The women’s soccer team lost to Mid-America Christian University 3-2 in overtime at the Evangel Field in Oklahoma City, Okla.
OCU fell to 5-6-1, 3-3-1 in Sooner Athletic women’s soccer.
Allison Worsham, junior forward, scored the first two goals of the game. Her first goal in the 12th minute, she collected a deflected shot and found the back of the net, putting the stars up 1-0. She scored her second in the 44th minute, and it was her 14th goal of the season.
Mid-America Christian University fought back in the second half of the game. Mid-America Christian University’s junior midfielder and forward, Cici Mitchell scored in the 53rd minute with junior midfielder and defender, Brianna Jezioro has her assist. A minute later, senior forward, Chelsea Swisher scored, tying the game.
Jezioro scored Mid-America Christian University’s winning goal in the 94th minute.
OCU’s junior defender, Angela Clifton, collected three saves throughout the game.
