The men’s soccer team beat Mid-America Christian University 3-1 Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Evangel Field in Oklahoma City, Okla.
OCU improved to 7-3-2, 6-0-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference men’s soccer.
The Stars were first on the scoreboard. Logan Stewart, freshman forward, beat a defender on the outside and sent a ball into the 18-yard box. Senior midfielder, Kieran McLachlan, collect the cross and scored his fourth goal of the season.
OCU extended the lead in the 21st minute when sophomore defender, Aron Chapman, scored his first goal of the season off a pass from Stewart.
Mid-America Christian University’s senior midfielder, Devin Theisen, cut the lead when he scored in the 23rd minute.
The Stars collected an insurance goal in the 56th minute when an opposing defender knocked the ball in the goal, giving OCU a 3-1 lead.
Freshman goalkeeper, Vladimir Kalajdzic, needed only one save to give the Stars the win.
