Volunteers from OCU’s School of Theater will volunteer under the direction of professor Ashley Bellet at the H&8th Night Market on Halloween.
The students will do Halloween costume makeup for children attending the event, which will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 31. The booth will be located in the offices of the Nature Conservancy at 408 NW 7th St.
Students and members of the campus community are also invited to attend the event dressed up in OCU gear, to demonstrate the impact and role that OCU plays in the downtown OKC community.
The H&8th Night Market occurs on the last Friday of each month during the spring through fall seasons. The event features live music, food trucks, and shopping. Attendance at the events has been estimated between 20,000 and 25,000, making it one of the most popular festivals in OKC.
The Night Market on Oct. 31 will be the final H&8th event of the season. It will feature Halloween-themed events, including a “Trunk or Treat.”
