Texas Wesleyan defeated OCU Stars Volleyball 3-1, on Friday, Oct. 10 at the Sid Richardson Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
OCU went down to 13-9, 5-3 in Sooner Athletic Conference.
Despite the loss, OCU had a season-high with 16 team blocks, which occur when a player or players block the ball into the opponent’s court leading to a point or side out.
In the second set of the game, OCU went a late 4-0 run to get to set point. Senior Meghan Irwin and sophomore Kristen Macy put the Stars up to 24-19 with their kills.
In the fourth set, junior Hannah Mitcham and freshman Holly Randall combined on a block to give OCU a 20-17 lead.
Texas Wesleyan took the victory with four consecutive points throughout the game.
OCU Stars return home against Southwestern Assemblies of God Monday at 6 p.m.
