Officials released more information Sept. 30 about a sexual assault reported this weekend on campus.
The sexual assault happened at about 3 a.m. Sept. 28 outside Draper Hall dormitory.
A female student used a campus emergency phone to contact university police, reporting that a man was following her, according to the police report released Sept. 30.
When police arrived minutes later to assist the student, she reported that the man had sexually assaulted her. She was taken to a local hospital, where campus police conducted further interviews.
According to the police report:
The woman left an off-campus house party to walk back to campus. Along the way, the man began talking to her and asking her questions. The man tired to coerce the woman into buying drugs from him before sexually assaulting her. The man then ran off campus.
Police are looking for the suspect, who is described as a black man in his early- to mid-20s, who is 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. He also is described as having a “skinny build” and an “odd-shaped” nose that possibly was broken previously.
Oklahoma City police will assume the investigation with assistance from OCU police and Chief Bradd Brown, officials announced Sept. 30.
