The Powerful Prose book discussion series will continue with a presentation at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at Full Circle Bookstore.
The featured novel is titled “The Nicest Nazi: Childhood Memories of World War II,” by Oklahoma author Christiane Brant Faris.
OCU President Robert Henry will lead the discussion along with Faris, who is a professor emeritus at OCU. The book details Faris’ childhood during World War II and the post-war period. The author was born in Berlin during the dictatorship of Adolf Hitler, and her family lost its home and livelihood during the war.
Faris decided to write her story in hopes of showing the world how citizens of Germany were also victims of the Nazi Party.
Full Circle Bookstore is located at 50 Penn Place, 1900 Northwest Expressway.
The Powerful Prose series is a monthly series led by President Henry and fellow OCU professors. The series takes place at Full Circle Bookstore, and is free and open to the public.
