- HBO is bringing back Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Project Greenlight, which gave an inside look at the challenges posed to a first-time director. Damon and Affleck will be back to executive produce. “Project Greenlight was ahead of its time,” said Affleck in a statement. “Now that technology has caught up to the concept, we thought it was a perfect time to bring it back. - SyFy has given the greenlight to Sharknado 3, along with two new original series. The first, Killjoys, will follow a group of bounty hunters working in a galaxy on the brink of a class war. - Mongrel Intl. has acquired sales rights to Aisling Walsh’s period romance Maudie, starring Sally Hawkins. Based on a true story, the film is set in Nova Scotia in the 1950s and ’60s and follows the reclusive Everett Lewis, who falls in love with his quiet yet determined housekeeper. - Armie Hammer has signed on to star in upcoming psychological thriller Mine, directed by Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro. Hammer will play a soldier who finds himself stranded in the desert and must fight for his life and his sanity. To read more on the film, click here.
