- Fox will broadcast a three-hour live version of Grease in 2015. The cast has not yet been assembled. “From Broadway to film, and across generations, Grease is one of the most beloved musical stories ever told — and we can’t wait to bring it to our air in a spectacular live event,” said Shana C. Waterman, Fox’s Senior Vice President of Event Series. “Its iconic characters and addictive songs make it the perfect fit for Fox, and we’re going to give it the kind of star power and production quality to make every Sandy, Danny, Rizzo and Kenickie out there want to get up and sing along.” To read more on the show, click here.
- A new restoration of the 1964 Beatles film A Hard Day’s Night will play in over 50 cities over the July 4th weekend. The movie has been restored by the Criterion Collection’s restoration team and approved by director Richard Lester. The soundtrack has also been remixed and remastered. - Showtime has provided several free ways to watch the pilot for their new series Penny Dreadful. The episode is available on YouTube, the Showtime website, and various platforms via the Showtime Anytime app. The show will officially premiere in two weeks. To read more about the series, click here.
- Beyonce and Jay Z have confirmed their “On the Run” tour for this summer. The North American tour will begin on June 25th in Miami and end on August 5th in San Francisco. Beyonce’s fan club members and Chase credit and debit cardholders will be able to purchase tickets starting April 29th, followed by the general public on May 2. For more on the tour, click here.
