- The lineup for the 67th annual Cannes Film Festival has been announced. Notable French entries include Jean-Luc Godard’s 3D experiment Goodbye to Language and Michel Hazanavicius’ The Search. - In other Cannes news, French actress-turned-director Nicole Garcia will serve as the president of the festival’s Camera d’or Award jury. The Camera d’or is given to the best feature debut at the festival. Past recipients include Steve McQueen for Hunger and Jim Jarmusch for Stranger Than Paradise. - U.K. archival newsreel company British Pathé has uploaded its entire 100-year collection of 85,000 historic films in high resolution to YouTube. The collection spans 1896 to 1976 and comprises roughly 3,500 hours of historical footage of notable events, famous people, fashion, travel, sports and culture, as well as footage of World War I and World War II.
