- 90’s rom-com hit Pretty Woman is making its way to Broadway. The film’s screenwriters, Marshall and J.F. Lawton, are set to pen the book of the musical, with Paula Wagner on board to produce. - Japan’s Tezuka Productions has teamed with Nigerian broadcaster Channels TV to remake their series Astro Boy for the African market. Called “Robot Atom” in English, the show will be dubbed in French and other languages. The original series was first launched in 1963 and has been remade three times for Japanese and western markets, though this is the first remake for a non-developed country. - Helena Bonham Carter is set to reprise her role as the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland sequel Through the Looking Glass. Other actors returning to the franchise are Mia Wasikowska as Alice and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Director Tim Burton will not return and will be replaced by The Muppets helmer James Bobin. - Taraji P. Henson has joined the cast of Term Life, starring Vince Vaughan and Hallie Steinfeld. The film is based on a graphic novel about a heist gone awry that sends its perpetrator and his daughter on the run. To read more on the film, click here.
