Napoleon Dynamite actor John Heder is set to star in Fox’s new half-hour comedy pilot, entitled Here’s Your Damn Family. The Departed screenwriter William Monahan has signed a two-year first-look deal with Paramount Pictures. Monahan has written two scripts for upcoming Paramount projects: The Gambler, starring Mark Wahlberg and Jessica Lange and directed by Rupert Wyatt; and Desperado, starring Wahlberg and directed by Peter Berg. A&E will debut Mark Wahlberg’s reality series Breaking Boston on March 13. The show follows a group of four blue-collar women trying to break free of the lack of opportunities brought about by poor education, low employment, and minimal opportunities. “These are real women telling their original stories of trying to break out of what’s expected of them,” said Wahlberg. “The odds are difficult, but I believe they can make it.” For more on the series, click here.
Woody Allen is set to revive his 2008 Los Angeles Opera production of Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi for Madrid’s Teatro Real. Placido Domingo will fill the title role, with Allen billed as the stage director and Giulano Carell as the musical director. The production will from June 30 through July 12, 2015.
