Eighteen Stars appeared in the final Women’s College Wrestling Association rankings.
Junior wrestler Emily Webster earned the top spot at 101 pounds while Oklahoma City University finished as the second-ranked squad in the poll.Webster won her third consecutive national title at the WCWA Championships on Jan. 25. OCU finished two points behind King (Tenn.) and just missed out on its fifth WCWA title.
Sophomore all-Americans Rachel McFarland and Kayla Aggio each finished second in the rankings in their respective weight classes. McFarland finished second at 130 and Aggio,was runner up at 155 at the WCWA Championships.
Senior wrestler Brianna Rahall joined Webster in the rankings at 101. Rahall finished fourth in the WCWA Championships. Both Rahall and Webster are three-time WCWA all-American selections.
Senior wrestler Kristi Garr finished fourth in the 109 rankings. Garr became a four-time all-American with a fourth-place finish at the WCWA Championship.
The duo of freshman wrestler Cody Pfau and sophomore wrestler Shelby Morrison finished fourth and seventh respectively in the rankings at 117. Both wrestlers earned all-American status.
Junior wrestler Brieana Delgado finished the season ranked fourth in the 123 rankings earning her third all-American recognition.
Senior wrestler Beatrize Martinez and sophomore wrestler Rachel Young took the fifth and sixth spots in the rankings. Both earned all-American acclaim.
Senior wrester Stephanie Geltmacher finished the season ranked fifth at 143.
Junior Demi Strub joined Aggio in the 155 rankings. Strub earned her third all-American honor after finishing fourth at the WCWA Championship.
Sophomore wrestler Sherese Thomas finsihed fourth in the 170 rankings and took all-American honors at the WCWA Championships.
In the 191 rankings, junior wrestler Heather O’Connor finished fourth at the WCWA Championships and took all-American acclaim.
Heiley Garcia (155), Tanalei Louis (123) and Carla Ponce (130) all finished in at No. 9 in their weight classes, and Yvonne Galindo appeared in the 10th spot at 143.
OCU owns four national championships won in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
