- Singer Rita Ora is set to play Christian Grey’s adopted sister in Universal and Focus’ upcoming film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. The movie marks the Yugoslavian-born British singer-songwriter’s biggest movie role to date. Her most recent album, Ora, went platinum and was the No. 1 album in the U.K. upon its release. - Joel and Ethan Coen’s Inside Llewyn Davis took home the award for best film at the annual Gotham Independent Awards, held this past weekend in New York. - The History Channel and Halle Berry are teaming up for Hannibal, a miniseries about famed general Hannibal Barca in the Second Punic War between Carthage and Rome. “Hannibal was not only the greatest African general to ever live, he may have been the greatest general, period,” Berry said. “His story is an intricate and captivating ride and I’m thrilled to get this project off the ground with our partners at History.” For more on the series, click here.
- Mary McCormack has signed on for The Conspiracy on Jekyll Island, a thriller about an ex-Wall Street man, played by Frank Grillo, who is enlisted to thwart a cyber attack that threatens the American economy.
