The men’s cross country team has claimed their first NAIA title.
The team took the title Saturday at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, KS.
The Stars competed in the eight-kilometer race, and had four finishers in the top-30. Sophomores Arya Bahreini and Peter Kosky, and freshmen Chris Lowery and Mackenzie Wahpepah-Harris finished in the top-30 and gained all-American status.
The team is ranked 5th in the NAIA division. They finished 47 points ahead of Southern Oregon, and 80 points ahead of the 2012 champion St. Francis in Illinois.
This NAIA men’s cross country title is OCU’s 52nd national championship. With this title, OCU has won a title every year for the last 19 years.
