An OCU professor will star in a local theater production this weekend.
D. Lance Marsh, associate professor of theater and artistic director of TheatreOCU will play Mark Rathko in the play Red at Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre.
Red, written by John Logan, tells the story of the renowned artist Mark Rathko and his young assistant as they attempt to create a work of art for a Manhattan restaurant. The play won six Tony Awards, including Best Play of 2010.
The play also features Aaron Wertheim, a 2012 School of Theater alumnus.
Red runs this weekend only, Nov. 22 to 24, at the Freede Little Theatre in the Oklahoma City Civic Center, 201 N Walker Ave. Tickets can be purchased in person, online at cityrep.org, or by calling the box office at (405) 848-3761.
