- The five surviving members of comedy troupe Monty Python are reuniting for a stage show. Those performing will include John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, and Terry Jones. “We’re getting together and putting on a show — it’s real,” Jones said. “I’m quite excited about it. - The Weinstein Company will receive a financing boost from Catalina Capital, thanks to a deal with the company and its new $50 million finance fund. Catalina has been given a first-look option on domestic distribution and international sales of TWC films. “I’m pleased to provide the Catalina Capital Fund with access to the Weinstein Company’s worldwide leadership in the film business, along with my personal expertise in reviewing the projects that are analyzed by its greenlight committee,” said Harvey Weinstein. - MTV is planning to reschedule and edit reality series Scrubbing In after complaints from nonprofit nursing organizations about the show’s “sexist and inaccurate nurse stereotypes.” The show will also be moved from its original 10 p.m. time slot to midnight to decrease viewership. - The European Parliament has approved the European Commission’s new Creative Europe program. The new program’s budget is 9% higher than the current level and will provide funding through two sub-programs: the MEDIA program, directed at the cinema and audiovisual sector, and the Culture program, which will support performing and visual arts.
