Former OCU men’s basketball star Orlan “OJ” Jackman has continued his basketball career overseas, in Europe.
A native of London, England, the 6-foot-6-inch Forward had a decorated career at OCU, finishing his senior year as the leading scorer for the Stars during the 2011-2012 season. Jackman had 13.4 points and 8 rebounds per game and 19 blocks on the season. This earned him a place in the all-Sooner Athletic Conference team along with Point Guard Charlton Jones.
His 2011-2012 season led Jackman to the professional scene. He returned to England and signed with the London Lions in 2012, where he averaged 16 points per game. He recently moved to Germany, where he currently plays with the NOMA Iserlohn Kangaroos.
Not only was Orlan a member of the u20 Great British team, but after impressing in England with the Lions, he was also called up to the senior men’s team to be one of 17 to fight for a place last summer.
