Today, at the OCU vs. Champions basketball game, the winners of homecoming were announced.
Julia Devine, BFA acting senior and member of Gamma Phi Beta, was crowned Homecoming Queen.
“I am so humbled by all the love and support shown this week,” said Devine.
Tim Johnson, dance performance senior and member of Kappa Sigma, was crowned Homecoming King.
“I am very happy and excited. At this moment I am still very shocked but also very, very honored to be nominated,“ said Johnson.
In addition to Homecoming King and Queen, winners of banner, window, spirit structure, lipsync, overall spirit and sweepstakes were also announced.
This year, eight teams competed in homecoming including Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Phi, Phi Mu, Lambda Chi Alpha, Kappa Sigma, FIJI, and Kappa Phi DAX.
Winners were as follows:
Banner: 3rd Alpha Chi Omega, 2nd Gamma Phi Beta, 1st– Kappa Sigma
Window: 3rd– Gamma Phi Beta, 2nd– Lambda Chi Alpha, 1st-Alpha Phi
Spirit Structure: 3rd– Lambda Chi Alpha, 2nd- Gamma Phi Beta, 1st– Kappa Sigma
Lipsync: 3rd– Alpha Phi, 2nd– Lambda Chi Alpha, 1st Gamma Phi Beta
Alumni’s Choice: Alpha Phi, People’s Choice- Gamma Phi Beta
Overall Spirit- Alpha Chi Omega
Sweepstakes: 3rd– Kappa Sigma, 2nd– Lambda Chi Alpha, 1st Gamma Phi Beta
