Oklahoma City University was recently named on of the best Christian Colleges.
Institutional Research and Evaluation, a research and consulting organization specializing in college student recruiting and retention, gives the honor to colleges and universities that provide quality education in a Christian environment. Eligibility is determined from a nation-wide survey of more than 1,400 four year institutions.
Requirements for making the list include an entering freshman class with high school grade point averages that are collectively above the national average.
Schools also must be affiliated with a Christian denomination, claim current or historical association with a church, or provide and education that incorporates basic Christian principles and beliefs into its curriculum
“We are honored to be recognized as being amongst the best Christian colleges in the nation,” said OCU President Robert Henry. “Our professors, administrators and staff make every effort to provide our students with an exceptional education, and being recognized by an independent organization is a rewarding validation of our efforts.
“The Curriculum at OCU has been repeatedly recognized for emphasizing the Christian value of servant leadership,’ Henry said.
