Midnight Breakfast, a free late night breakfast with music hosted by Student Activities Council, is scheduled Oct. 8 in the cafeteria in Tom and Brenda McDaniel University Center.
The event is free for students with valid student IDs.
Students will need to present their IDs to enter.
“It’s just a night where you can come get breakfast from 11 p. m. to 1 a.m. in the caf and have a good time, and kind of take a break from everything that’s going on,” said Thad Ernst, SAC president.
Midnight Breakfast takes place every semester during SAC’s Stress Free Week.
The week is meant to help students relax during midterms.
“It’s just a fun time to just get away from what’s going on with life, and everything that we go through during midterms,” Ernst said.
The menu for this year’s Midnight Breakfast will include bacon, sausages, eggs, biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, waffles, French toast, and a variety of toppings.
Sodexo will provide the food.
“The process has actually been super-streamlined this year,” Ernst said, “Everything’s on OrgSync.”
OrgSync is a new software program for tracking event and involvement. OrgSync replaced the Involved website.
SAC’s has chosen “Game On” as the theme for their events this year. The specific game theme for Midnight Breakfast will be Candy Land.
“It’s always fun, because some people will come out in PJs or robes,” Ernst said. “I’m excited just to see everybody taking a little bit of a break.”
Midnight Breakfast will also feature a raffle drawing, with various prizes up for grabs.
“I actually ended up winning Thunder tickets at Midnight Breakfast, so that was a blast,” said Ali Bryant, biomedical science sophomore. “Who doesn’t love breakfast in the middle of the night?
“We’re all up anyways. It’s a stressful time of year.”
