Student Activities Council is hosting Homecoming Reveal on Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. in the Great Hall in the McDaniel University Center.
SAC will be revealing the homecoming theme, passing out homecoming packets, and going over rules for the various contests that will occur during the week.
Thad Ernst, president of SAC, says they have been planning this year’s Homecoming since April. Last year’s homecoming theme was “Let the Games Begin”.
Ernst says that SAC is excited for Homecoming this year.
“We look forward to watching the chaos unfold,” said Mary Ann Grover, SAC Union Commissioner.
Homecoming week will begin with Homecoming Kickoff on Oct. 24at 9 p.m. in the Great Hall.
On Oct. 27, groups will be window painting. Ernst says he anticipates seven or eight groups for this contest, which includes Greek organizations.
Oct. 30, SAC will be hosting the Uptown 23rd Street Night, a discount night for restaurants like Tucker’s and Mutts.
The annual Lipsync competition is at 8 p.m. Nov. 1 in the Henry J. Freede Wellness and Activity Center.
Nov. 2 will start with a 5K Race with the Stars at 8 a.m., followed by a campuswide picnic at 11 a.m. The Homecoming basketball game will be at 2 p.m.
Anyone who wants to participate in Race with the Stars can go to the SGA office.
“It will be a fun night,” Ernst said.
