- CBS is using Twitter app Videogram to push their four new comedies a week ahead of their premieres. The app, created by Cinemacraft, segments videos into scenes and forms a mosaic that highlights the most important bits. Other entertainment companies that have tested Videogram for marketing purposes include Sony Pictures Entertainment, 21st Century Fox and Universal Music Group. - Mad Men actor Aaron Staton has joined the cast of Chris Denham’s upcoming thriller Preservation. Staton, who plays Ken Cosgrove on AMC’s hit series, joins Pablo Schreiber and Boardwalk Empire‘s Wrenn Schmidt in the film, which will begin shooting in Los Angeles in October. - Thomas Sadoski is in negotiations to star opposite Reese Witherspoon in Fox Searchlight’s upcoming Wild. The film is based on the Cheryl Strayed book of the same name and will be helmed by Jean-Marc Vallee. The project marks Sadoski’s first major film role since his breakout turn in HBO’s The Newsroom, which just wrapped its second season. For more on Wild, click here.
- Legendary Pictures and Atlas Entertainment moving forward with Warcraft, a movie version of hit Blizzard video game World of Warcraft. The film will be directed by Duncan Jones and will begin production in January. Actors currently in negotiations to star include Colin Farrell and Paula Patton.
