SGA officials have been working to cut down on spending in different areas. Student Activities Council hosted the Back to School Bash and spent less than the allotted money for the event.
Other SGA members also are trying to be mindful of spending this year.
It is appreciated that SGA members are aware of budget concerns, and there is progress being made on how much is spent. There is still work to be done on cutting spending.
Students want to see the most from their student fees. Things such as Polo shirts for SGA members and a retreat filled with Sara-Sara Cupcakes and Big Truck Tacos at the Devon Boathouse do not benefit the general student population.
SGA officials are encouraged to continue their work on making budget cuts and keep the students interests at heart.
