Student senators are making some changes to Student Senate meetings this semester.
These changes include a more engaging call the audience as well as how bills are written and submitted
At the Aug. 27 meeting, Senators approved the Standing Rules for the organization. The Standing Rules and other documents pertinent to Student Senate information can be found on the Student Government Association website, ocusga.org.
Fall 2013 Allotments also were approved at the first Student Senate meeting.
According to Sen. McDivitt, allotments have been cut about 20 percent this semester.
Due to SGA budget cuts, the organization has made adjustments to the budget as a whole for the semester.
Three students were approved for executive member positions as well. Senators approved Jason Chaplin as director of special projects, Nora Gnabasik as chief of staff and Chance Johnson as the secretary of policies and initiatives.
