At 10:09 p.m. tonight campus police sent out alerts saying the campus is on lockdown.
Officials report an off-campus shooting as the cause of the lockdown.
No other information about the shooting is known at this time.
OCU police said they are currently assisting OKC police, as it is within the city’s jurisdiction.
OCUPD officials said it was in the best interest of the campus to lock down.
Students who have reported not receiving alerts should take precautions and not assume the lockdown is over until officially reported.
