‘Evil Dead’ remake cut to avoid NC-17 rating

Fede Alvarez’s remake of Bruce Campbell’s Evil Dead was given an NC-17 rating by the MPAA and has undergone cuts to bring the rating down to an R.  The film will premiere at the SXSW film festival in March.
