Fugitive From Justice and OCU Notice to Vacate Thursday, 1-17-13 10:25pm; University Manor Apartments; Incident # 13-01-018; arrested: Allen Alexander Parks (no OCU affiliation); reporting person: student; assisting officer: Officer Michael Haynes; evidence: one package of Feel Good potpourri (unopened) and one empty Zig Zag cigarette paper package; A student called OCUPD stating that an unknown adult male was sitting in front of her window and was possibly handling drugs. Sergeant Michael Kavenius arrived on scene but was unable to locate the suspect. He communicated with the reporting student and obtained a detailed physical description and announced it over the police radio. Officer Michael Haynes was off duty and observed the suspect at NW 23rd and Olie Avenue. Sergeant Kavenius arrived on scene and interviewed suspect, Allen Alexander Parks (no OCU affiliation). It was discovered that Mr. Parks had two outstanding arrest warrants for Failure to Appear on an Oklahoma County DUI and DUS charge. He was taken into custody and transported to the Oklahoma County Detention Center. Upon arrival he was informed of the campus perimeter and required to sign an OCU Notice to Vacate form.
Non-Injury Vehicle Collision Sunday, 1-20-13 12:30pm; McDaniel University Center (West parking lot); Incident # 13-01-020; driver # 1: student, vehicle: green 2012 Ford Focus; driver # 2: unknown, vehicle: unknown (possible red Chevrolet); Officer Josh Pankowsky was dispatched to the west side parking lot at the McDaniel University Center in reference to a damaged vehicle. He met with driver # 1 who said he left his parked Ford Focus on Sunday, 1-20-13 at 12:30am and returned at 9:00am to discover the passenger side front quarter panel to be damaged. The officer observed red transfer paint at the point of impact. Photos were taken of the damage. Officer Pankowsky searched the campus for the suspect vehicle to no avail.
Notice to Vacate (x2) Sunday, 1-20-13 2:28am; NW 23rd and Virginia Avenue; Incident # 13-010021; suspects: Colleen Dees (no OCU affiliation) and Phillip Rickerson (no OCU affiliation); Officer Michael Haynes observed two subjects setting on the front steps of the Bluetique Restaurant smoking cigarettes. He interviewed both subjects and discovered they had no affiliation with the campus. They were both clear of warrants and were required to sign OCU Notice to Vacate forms. They were informed of the campus boundaries and were allowed to leave.
