Public Intoxication Monday, 12-17-12 7:25pm; Rococo’s Restaurant 2824 N. Pennsylvania Avenue (back parking lot); Incident # 12-12-027; arrested: Cleveland S. Bristow (no OCU affiliation) and Gary Allen Ingram (no OCU affiliation); The owner of the business notified OCUPD that two adult males were intoxicated and fighting next to the trash dumpster on his property. Sergeant Michael Kavenius arrived on scene and observed both subjects sleeping at that location. He awakened both subjects and observed they were too intoxicated to stand without assistance in addition to detecting the odor of an alcoholic beverage about their breaths and persons. The sergeant further noticed three empty (liter) bottles of whiskey and one full bottle of which he emptied and threw them in the trash. They were taken into custody and transported to the Public Inebriation Alternative Center. Upon arrival Mr. Bristow registered a presumptive BAC of .214 % and Mr. Ingram registered a BAC of .119 %. The business owner said he appreciates the service provided by OCUPD field officers.
Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Obstructing an Officer, Attempting to Elude (felony), Possession of CDS w/Intent to Distribute (methamphetamine) and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon (felony); NW 23rd and Douglas Avenue; Incident # 12-12-028; arrested: Kyle D. Thompson (no OCU affiliation); passengers: Christopher Blackman (no OCU affiliation) and Biannca Robley (no OCU affiliation); evidence: 1.7 grams methamphetamine (field tested positive), 1 digital camera (image of suspect seated behind the steering wheel of stolen vehicle), 25 empty (1” square empty clear plastic bags), 2 digital scales, 1 meth glass pipe, 1 (toy) black plastic (Walther) BB handgun (felony) and $198.00 cash; impounded vehicle: 1 (stolen/recovered) white 1998 Ford F-150 pickup; Sergeant Michael Kavenius observed a white Ford pickup speeding West on NW 23rd. He positioned his unit behind the suspect vehicle in an attempt to obtain a radar reading. The suspect vehicle increased speed, refused to stop and the sergeant engaged him in a pursuit with emergency lights and siren. The pursuit continued on numerous residential streets. The suspect vehicle crashed at NW 16th and Classen Boulevard at which time the driver, Kyle Thompson (no OCU affiliation), ran from the scene. Both passengers remained at the scene and were detained. An OCPD K-9 officer arrested the driver four blocks from the scene and transported him to the Oklahoma County Detention Center. The passengers were interviewed and released at the scene. OCPD removed the stolen vehicle from NCIC and notified the owner. The stolen vehicle was inoperable and impounded at the owner’s request. The above evidence was entered into the OCUPD evidence locker and the drugs will be submitted to OSBI for forensic analysis. Note: any toy weapon that has been altered to resemble a real firearm is a felony when engaged in a felonious act.
