Blanchett to play evil stepmother in new Cinderella film

Cate Blanchett, actress from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, is in negotiations to play the wicked stepmother in Disney’s as-yet-untitled Cinderella film.  Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go) is slated to direct.
