Film adaptation of ‘The Giver’ in the works

The Bone Collector director Phillip Noyce is in negotiations with the Weinstein Company and Walden Media to direct a film adaptation of Lois Lowry’s The Giver.  A production start date has not yet been assigned to the picture, although Jeff Bridges already is slated to star.
