Petit Larceny Friday, 9-28-12 8:00am; Methodist Hall (North side); Incident # 12-09-049; victim: student; item stolen: one purple bicycle name brand/serial number unknown; Officer Michael Haynes was approached by a student who said his bicycle was locked to a bicycle rack on the north side of Methodist Hall. He further said someone had cut the lock and taken the bike during the night. The victim did not know the name brand or the serial number.
Obstructing an Officer and Attempting to Elude an Officer Friday, 9-28-12 1:22am; University Manor Apartments; Incident # 12-09-050; arrested: Stephen Lee Gail (no OCU affiliation); Officer Michael Haynes was dispatched to NW 23rd and Gatewood Avenue regarding an adult male standing in the roadway stopping vehicles in both lanes. The officer exited his patrol unit approached the subject who ran south down Gatewood Avenue. He was able to take the subject to the ground and handcuff him. The suspect provided Officer Haynes with several bogus names and dates of birth. He was eventually identified as Stephen Lee Gail (no OCU affiliation); He was transported to the Oklahoma County Detention Center without further incident.
Grand Larceny (no OCU affiliation) Friday, 9-28-12 2:30pm; E Z Pawn 2027 NW 23rd; Incident # 12-09-051; suspects: Jordan Kelby Osman (no OCU affiliation) and Kaela Eveth Rivas (no OCU affiliation); reporting persons: employee Shannon Lewis (no OCU affiliation) and employee Stevie Rae Wood (no OCU affiliation); items stolen: one AKG cordless microphone, value $200 and one Apple laptop I-5 MacBook OPRO value $900; On 9-27-12 both suspects sold the above items to the E Z Pawn Shop. The next day they entered the business to buy back the same items. As they were standing in line with the items, they ran from the business with the items and entered an unknown vehicle and departed. Both stolen items have been entered into NCIC. Officer Haynes will be investigating this case and will probably be filling charges.
Fugitive From Justice Friday, 9-28-12 6:46pm; Buy For Less 2500 N. Pennsylvania Avenue; Incident # 12-09-052; arrested: David Adam Miller (no OCU affiliation); Sergeant Michael Kavenius was dispatched to the Buy For Less market in reference to customers engaged in an argument outside in front of the business and that one of the subjects had brandished a handgun. Upon arrival the sergeant detained the persons involved and pat searched them for officer safety. He did not find a weapon and eventually was able to determine that Mr. David Adam Miller displayed an Oklahoma Conceal/Carry card. A warrant check was performed on all persons involved. Mr. Miller had an outstanding warrant from Oklahoma County for Failure to Comply with a Court Order. He was taken into custody and transported to the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
Receive Stolen Property Saturday, 9-29-12 5:18am; NW 28th (curbside adjacent to residence at 1526 NW 28th); Incident # 12-09-053; reported victim: Leland McLemore (no OCU affiliation); vehicle involved: black Chrysler PT Cruiser; recovered item: Oklahoma license plate 498-FZK; Sergeant John Jackson observed a black PT Cruiser parked in front of 1526 NW 28th facing east. He was not familiar with the vehicle and discovered the license plate was reported stolen in Oklahoma City with the victim listed as Leland McLemore (no OCU affiliation); The recovered license plate was removed and placed into the OCUP evidence locker. The Oklahoma City Police Department was notified.
