A university officer seized 1.3 grams of marijuana and other marijuana paraphernalia from a student’s vehicle Sunday.
Officer Kiel Pepper was dispatched at 11:40 p.m. to NW 27th and Classen Boulevard where he observed a car parked in a nearby car wash, officials said.
Pepper detected the odor of burning marijuana from the vehicle, which three students occupied.
He told the students to exit the car and handcuffed them, officials said.
The car’s owner gave the officer permission to search the vehicle, in which the officer seized the marijuana paraphernalia.
The vehicle was impounded, and the officer transported the students to Oklahoma United Methodist Hall.
Officer Pepper handed over the situation to Liz Donnelly, dean of students, for administrative adjudication.
