The technology titan introduced three applications for Apple products Thursday at an event in New York City.
The applications seek to change the “outdated” method of learning, through textbooks and in classrooms.
Here are the new applications:
iBooks 2 – users can download the application via iPad and view textbooks, highlight passages, view videos and photos, make flashcards, and search terms all through the application.
- The app is free to download
- Textbooks are available for $15
iBooks Author – works as a content creation application for authors to produce books.
iTunes U – “allows teachers to create syllabi, share videos of their lectures, and publish class notes for their students.”
