A pipe burst at about 6:15 a.m. today in the north hallway of Bishop W. Angie Smith Chapel, said Jeff Castleberry, director of facilities.
About six to seven offices were affected by the flood, which was caused by cold temperatures, he said.
“The pipe was insulated, but it ran along an exterior wall that got cold,” Castleberry said.
Employees are working to pull out the wet walls, which will be removed by the end of the day, he said.
Katie Larson, acting sophomore, said she was supposed to have a class in the building, but it was canceled due to the flood.
“It’s been a rough week for OCU,” she said. “Hopefully OCU can get their acts together.
“It feels like when it rains it pours, literally. God Bless OCU.”
