The Distinguished Artist Series at Oklahoma City University continues at 3 p.m. Sunday with the enhake chamber trio performing selections from Mozart, Schumann, Bruch, Marshall, Piazzolla and Bartok. The concert will be held in the Petree Recital Hall in the Bass Music Center.
The enhake chamber trio draws its name from the Creek tribe word for sound or call. The trio has garnered praise in publications across the country for its performances including a description of “frighteningly good” by the Tallahassee Democrat and for having “rock solid rhythmic integrity” by The New York Concert Review. The trio won first place in the 2009 Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition and the 2008 International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition at Carnegie Hall.
Enhake collaborates with contemporary composers to commission works for modern times. It has several recordings and has been heard nationwide on National Public Radio stations.
