Notre Dame University conducted an experiment to replace textbooks with iPads.
Students were given iPads for a seven-week course, according to an article by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
A professor said the devices made it easier to connect with students in an out of the classroom. Students surveyed said the iPad made it easier to work with others in group projects, the article states.
