Dr. Vince Orza is resigning as dean of the Meinders School of Business.
The announcement officially was made Thursday at the annual Oklahoma Commerce & Industry Hall of Honor luncheon at the Cox Center, 1 Myriad Gardens.
The dean said he will resign in November.
“I’m stepping down to pursue business in the private sector,” Orza said.
Orza said he was uncomfortable speaking further about his new pursuits until this week.
Orza’s successor still is to be determined, said President Robert Henry.
“My goal in searching for a new dean is to continue the emphasis on scholarship and community involvement at the university,” he said.
