The first TheatreOCU MainStage of the semester is The Bluest Eye, a play based on a book by Toni Morrison.
The show has performances at 8 p.m. Feb. 1-3 and Feb. 3 and 4 at 2 p.m. in the Burg Theater in Kirkpatrick Fine Arts Center.

- Erika Felix and Laura Kariuki, acting sophomores, and Alyssa Peters, theater and music sophomore, listen to women gossip.
- Sydney Blosch, music theater senior, plays “Mama.”
- Taylor Blackman, acting senior, plays “Cholly Breedlove.”
- Taylor Blackman, acting senior, and Reoni Newsome, acting freshman, share a laugh.
- Ashleigh Robinson, music theater junior, talks to Laura Kariuki, acting sophomore, by their lockers.
- Erika Felix and Laura Kariuki, acting sophomores, and Alyssa Peters, theater and music sophomore, go to sleep.
- Taylor Blackman, acting senior, and Evan Clear, theater and performance sophomore, are confronted.
- Darius Freeman, acting freshman, plays “Soaphead Church.”
- Laura Kariuki, acting sophomore, follows instructions to get blue eyes.
