The OCU Stars Women’s Basketball team suffered a 74-51 loss to Texas A&M on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Reed Arena in College Station, Texas.The Stars team is ranked No. 1 in NAIA Division I women’s basketball. Texas A&M is ranked fifth in NCAA Division I.

The Women’s Basketball team is slated at the top of the NAIA Division I rankings for this season.They are expected to capture their sixth consecutive Sooner Athletic Conference title. The Stars took their seventh national title in March of this year.

The volleyball team will dedicate their pink-out game in support of breast cancer awareness to a player’s family member.The pink-out game is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, and will be dedicated to senior Kelley Shiel’s grandmother, Sandra Allen, who died of breast cancer at age 71.

OCU Homecoming events, competition begin

Students are preparing for a week of late-night painting, building, dancing, and bonding.Homecoming kick-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight in Henry J. Freede Wellness and Activity Center. Other Homecoming events will take place Nov. 3-8.
