OCU Women’s Soccer won against St. Gregory’s University, in Shawnee, Okla. on Tuesday at Fr. Victor Roberts Field.
The Stars took home a 4-2 win.
Britani Soesbee, junior midfielder, scored two goals. OCU improved 7-2, 2-2 in Sooner Athletic women’s soccer.
Soesbee went against defenders and scored in the 22nd minute, giving OCU an early lead.
SGU tied the game in the 24th minute off a corner from SGU freshman midfielder, Alyssa Pios. SGU sophomore forward, Riley Wilkins, collected the corner and scored a goal.
Soesbee regained OCU’s 2-1 lead in the 30th minute with her third goal of the season.
SGU fought back and retied the game with a goal from their sophomore forward, Abi Housecroft, in the 54th minute.
Kayla Mckenna, freshmen defender, scored her second goal of the year in the 70th minute, with junior forward Allison Worsham as the assist, giving OCU a 3-2 lead.
Senior midfielder, Carissa Turang, provided her fourth goal of the year in the 81st minute, with Worsham as the assist.
Ashley Bechtold, senior goalkeeper, collected one save.
OCU returns home Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. against Southwestern Christian University.
