The House voted Feb. 28 to pass the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. The bill is a renewal of the 1994 law, which provides assistance to victims of domestic and sexual violence.

The legislation passed the House 286-138. Representative Tom Cole was the only member of Oklahoma’s all-Republican delegation to vote in favor of passing the bill.
