Teen continues recovery from synthetic marijuana-induced illness

Emily Bauer, 16, of Cypress, Texas, is slowly recovering from near-lethal complications after smoking synthetic marijuana. The drug, also known as “spice,” was linked to more than 11,000 emergency department visits in 2010, according to a report from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
