Petit Larceny Thursday, 10-11-12 6:50pm; Draper Hall (bicycle rack); Incident # 12-12-016; victim: student; item stolen: one bicycle name brand Peagot model: Lion, orange; A student/victim met with Sergeant Michael Kavenius at OCUPD regarding the theft of his bicycle. He said the last time he observed the bicycle was on Wednesday, 10-1012 at approximately 4:45pm. He further stated the bike was not locked to the rack. He made a written statement and will provide a serial number later in order to enter it into NCIC.

Public Intoxication Thursday, 10-11-12 7:50pm; NW 23rd and Pennsylvania Avenue; Incident # 12-10-017; arrested: Randy Gene Bertis (no OCU affiliation); Sergeant Michael Kavenius observed and adult male standing in plain view at NW 23rd and Pennsylvania Avenue drinking from a bottle of whiskey. As the sergeant approached the subject he concealed the bottle into the sleeve of a jacket he was carrying. He identified himself as Randy Bertis (no OCU affiliation). Mr. Bertis was observed to be unsteady on his feet with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. He also had the odor of and alcoholic beverage about his breath and person. Sergeant Kavenius discovered another 1.75 liter of whiskey in the other sleeve of his jacket. The whiskey was properly disposed of and Mr. Bertis was transported to the Public Inebriation Alternative Center without incident
