Injure/Destroy Property Less Than $2500.00 Tuesday, 10-9-12 5:10pm; N. Loeffler parking lot (West of Freede Wellness Center); Incident # 12-10-012; victim: student; damaged vehicle: black 2007 Lexus E35 4dr; Officer Josh Pankowsky was dispatched to the West side of the Freede Wellness Center regarding a vehicle damaged by a baseball. Upon arrival he met with the student/victim who said he was driving his Lexus into a parking space and heard a loud bang to the roof of his vehicle. The officer observed a 5” circular indentation on the forward center portion of the roof that is indicative of damage caused by a baseball. The student made a written statement and photo were taken of the damage.

Public Intoxication Tuesday, 10-9-12 4:40pm; NW 23rd and Virginia Avenue; Incident # 12-10-013; arrested: Robert Richard Taufest Jr. (no OCU affiliation); Officer Josh Pankowsky was dispatched to NW 23 and Virginia Avenue in reference to an adult male who had fallen down several times while walking at that location. Upon arrival he observed a male, later identified as Robert Taufest Jr., to be staggering. The officer further noticed that Mr. Taufest had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about his breath and person with bloodshot eyes. He was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Public Inebriation Alternative Center where he registered a BAC of .294 %.

Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute Wednesday, 10-9-12 3:21pm; NW 23rd and McKinley Avenue; Incident # 12-10-014; arrested: Frederick Benard Collins (no OCU affiliation); impounded vehicle: white 2005 Chevrolet Malibu 4dr; evidence: 209 grams of marijuana (field tested positive for THC); Officer Josh Pankowsky observed a white Chevrolet Malibu at the intersection of NW 23 and McKinley Avenue with an expired license plate. He stopped the vehicle and discovered that the driver, Frederick Collins (no OCU affiliation), was Driving Under Suspension. The officer summoned a wrecker for impounded. While performing the standard impounded inventory, he discovered 209 grams of marijuana in two separate packages under the driver and passenger seat. Mr. Collins was arrested for felony Possession of Marijuana w/Intent to Distribute. The evidence was placed in the OCUPD evidence locker for eventually transportation to OSBI for forensic analysis. The vehicle was impounded and Mr. Collins was transported to the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
