President of Oprah Winfrey Network to lecture

Erik Logan

The president of the Oprah Winfrey Network and Harpo Productions will give a presentation at 10 a.m. March 5 in the Kerr McGee Auditorium in Meinders School of Business. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Erik Logan will discuss his career and offer career advice during the lecture.

Logan, graduate of Northwest Classen High School, began his career in broadcasting at KEBC radio as the station’s mascot, Chuck the Duck.

He eventually transitioned to a disc jockey position, and then served as its program director. Logan raised the station to the No. 1 spot in ratings in one year.

After clathroughout the country, including work at CBS/Infinity Broadcasting, Citadel Broadcasting and  XM Satellite Radio, Logan joined Harpo Productions, Oprah Winfrey’s production company. He was named co-president of OWN in July 2011.

Logan became the youngest inductee in October 2011 in the Oklahoma City Schools Foundation’s Wall of Fame. He is 40 years old.
