Two students said they observed another student as he jumped from the balcony of his Cokesbury Court apartment on Sunday.

Officer Kiel Pepper was dispatched to Cokesbury Apartments at 1:39 a.m.

Upon arrival he observed a student lying on his back on the sidewalk in front of his apartment.

The victim was barely coherent with slurred speech and was not aware of where he was, Pepper said.

An Emergency Medical Services Authority vehicle arrived at 1:49 a.m. to transport the victim to Presbyterian Hospital.

Campus police seized an empty bottle of vodka, one full bottle of gin, one can of beer and four prescription pill bottles from the victim’s apartment.
