The men of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity have organized a way to give back on Veteran’s Day.

FIJI’s will host a Spaghetti for Soldiers dinner to honor military veterans at 9 p.m. Friday in the Caf.

An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner, complete with beverages and dessert can be purchased for $5, said Layne Kunce, a philanthropy and community service chair for FIJI. The event is free and open to students, faculty and staff.

“There will be a raffle later on in the evening,” he said.

Prizes will be awarded by Student Government Association and local businesses such as Romano’s Macaroni Grill, 3510 N.W. Expressway.

All proceeds and donations from Spaghetti for Soldiers will go to the United Service Organization.

USO is a not-for-profit organization that hosts performances for our troops, according to www.uso.org. The organization also makes it possible for deployed troops to communicate with their families via satellite and webcams.

“We really want to show our support on Veteran’s Day,” said Jarred Johnson, president of Phi Gamma Delta. “We want to give back to our troops.”
