Vice President Biden delivered a speech at the University of New Hampshire yesterday to voice his support for governmental action against sexual violence, according to WhiteHouse.gov.

Along with Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, Biden announced “comprehensive guidance” to help college students better understand their civil rights under Title IX and also to help universities understand their legal obligations to respond to sexual assault.

Biden said he encouraged young women and men to fight to end sexual violence.

“The more and more you bring attention to the issue, the less and less the behavior goes unnoticed, unreported and unpunished,” he said. “And the more and more attitudes begin to change.”
