In a last minute effort to boost ratings for the sitcom, Will Ferrell is set to join “The Office” cast alongside Steve Carell before his character Michael Scott makes his triumphant exit from the series.
Ferrell is said to play a branch manager whose work ethic seems to parallel that of Scott’s. Carell will be leaving the series four episodes before the season finale.
